WHO WE ARE ?

I was born and grew up in Istanbul – Turkey, like my ancestors who lived there since 1492. I met the beauty of oriental carpets when I was studying at the University of Istanbul. At that time I was a young salesperson at the bazaar. It was like a passion to learn more and more everyday and each rug was a piece of art to me. After graduating, with the support of a known Italian dealer, I went to study in London to improve my knowledge about oriental arts, history and geography. I was delighted studying the art of oriental weaving. I specialized in dying colors, spinning wool, weavings and textures among different regions.

 I opened my workshop in Central Turkey in 1998 and I became an antique carpet and flat woven restorer. With 11 years of experience I have been working with top dealers in Italy, Germany, England, USA and Australia. I have been restoring rugs, carpets, kilims and tapestries of some of the leading dealers, institutions like the University of Cambridge (U.K.), and collectors from all over the world. With a large facility in Turkey; we use the best restorers and the materials. Some of our projects were published on Hali Magazine and University of Cambridge. Our expert repairmen has skill and talent of restoring antique carpets from wool of old kilims and naturally dyed yarns.
