We can remove many stains with sufficient time.Please contact with us to clean the rug as soon as you can but before immediately blot all stains with a dry tissue or paper towel and then wipe with a sponge dampened with water or club soda.Stains may also be cleaned with a damp sponge and a little mild detergent.The detergent should be gently wiped out of the carpet with a water-dampened sponge.Most minor stains can be removed or at least diluted and should come out in the next cleaning.Or one may saturate the stain with an effective spray solvent  and blot with a paper towel.Stain removers are frequently found in hardware,carpet supply or vacuum repair stores.A few surface spots on antique weavings are not as worrisome as larger blemishes visible on both sides of the rug.In case of stains caused by tea,coffee,soft drinks,juices,milk,ice cream or alcohol never use soap or carpet shampoo as this will make them even more stubborn.With stains caused by blood,egg or wet gelatine never use hot water as this will set them.

You may consult us  for specific chemical mixtures to remove particulary bad stains.The entire rug may have to be promptly taken by us if damaged by flooding,burst pipes or unusual staining.
